WebPage - Right-Click Add Field option

Hi

In a Browser session, would it be possible to add a menu on the right-click menu, to be able to enter field values into a webpage e.g. Username, Password, and MFA Code?

This would save us having to right-click > Copy to Clipboard > Username then Paste into the webpage, then right-click > Copy to Clipboard > Password, then paste into the web page, and again for MFA code.

Instead we can right-click on the ‘Username’ box showing on the page, open the menu, go to ‘Insert >’ and then choose ‘Username’ (the $effectiveusername), password, or MFA - the same options as there are on the ‘Copy to Clipboard’ menu.

This is largely because I’ve struggled with the Web Autofill feature (with Scan then + each box), which sounds great, it’s been hit-and-miss on different pages whether it recognises the text entry, and then whether it will actually enter the details into the box even if it does recognise them.

Ideally it should enter the username/pass/mfa etc into the box on the page without copying to the clipboard first, because usernames and passwords hanging around in the clipboard poses at least some security risk, right?

If it could be added as part of the Royal Password browser plug-in (along with matching the current URL to pages in Royal, to show only those credentials relevant to the current page) - that would be awesome.

Thanks

Hi Jon!

Great feedback. Thanks for posting here.

I think we can provide such a feature, here’s a screenshot of a PoC implementation:

Stay tuned and keep an eye on the Royal TS v26 beta releases…
