Using OTP {MFAcode} for RDP-Connections

Hej there,

we are using RoyalTS with a shared configuration file. Mostly RDP-Connections are being used.

As we are going to Netwrix actually we have to insert a MFACode after username & password. I successfully added a credential object in an additional personal configuration file, which creates correct TOTP MFA Codes. These are working, if I write them manually in de Netwrix authentication code field.

Any try to insert that code automatically, by using automatic key sequences, maximally leads to have the variable $MFACode$ being written in that field, instead of the numeric code itself.

Even starting the key sequence with the keys “$MFACode$” (without “”) manually, as the RDP-connection with inputfield for auth-code is opened just writes $MFACode$ inside.

that keysequence configuration has the credentials-configuration “specify a credential name” and the correct credential name of the MFA-Object being given.

I’m not sure wether the MFA-Object is being configured right. Credential Usage is set to “All Connections”, Property “Effective Username” and Template is on {MFACode}.

Who could help?

regards, Karsten

Hi Karsten,

would you please be able to share screenshots of your key sequence task configuration as well as the MFA configuration, and also check if using the this. prefix as described here changes the behavior:
