Touch Bar - just show F-keys?

I have a new 2017 MBP with touch bar. I know that I can tell OS X to give me the F-keys (F1-F12) by default, but I don’t want to do that globally.

I just want F1-F12 to be displayed when the input is focused at RoyalTS RDP session.

Is that something that we can have an option for?

We Braden,

we plan to overhaul our Touch Bar support in one of the next major releases to be context sensitive. This would of course include showing the f-keys and other common Windows keyboard shortcuts in RDP sessions.

In the meantime you can also configure the OS to always show the f-keys for specific applications (Royal TSX in this case). See this stackexchange answer for instructions on how to configure this: https://apple.stackexchange.com/a/283570/51314
