Have you considered integrating WebView2 in the future to replace, or in addition to, EO.WebBrowser ? Is it possible?
Hi!
yes this is something on our list to investigate. Right now, the web view 2 is still very rough and has many issues. One could say it’s far from complete. Since EO and web view 2 are both chromium based and EO is a mature and quite stable product, we will keep EO for the time being. Not sure when we have a working plugin based on web view 2 though.

Edge/WebView2 replaces IE (RIP)
WebView2 seems to work fine, but looks like the option to set up auto-fill is missing (there’s just “Auto Fill” button, no Configure). I assume this’ll be added later?
Thanks for testing the beta. I just released a new version which should close those gaps. Let me know if you still see any issues.
I’ve been using the new beta for a few days, and WebView2 definitely seems to work better than Chrome (I’ve yet to have the bug where form fields stop accepting input; alert() boxes not taking over the whole application is also much more user-friendly).
Somewhat unrelated: it looks like Chrome plugin is slightly broken at least in beta 18 – a few pages that used to work now report “Too many redirects”, though I only noticed this because I hadn’t switched to the WebView2 plugin yet on my work machine – the problem only affects Chrome.
Thanks for the feedback. If you have scenarios where we should take a closer look, please open a new question here in the forums or simply open a new support ticket. I’m happy to look and see if we can improve things.
Regards,
Stefan
