Workaround to be able to connect to avd within royal ts using MSRDC RDP ActiveX DLL.

Hi,

our first tests were successful and I’m quite positive that V7 can ship with MS RDC support. Although it will not resolve the WVD support issue. I talked to the developer of the MsRdpEx library and right now this is not supported because MS lacks a couple of APIs and hooks to make that happen. Not sure if and when MS is providing something which will enable support for this.

It’s been a while since we released V7 including MS RDC support. I just wanted to clarify the current state:

While MS RDC support (similar to Devolution) worked a while, Microsoft broke the ABI compatibility in their most recent versions. MsRdpEx from Devolutions added a couple of features which do not require MS RDC and we are still using the same implementation. MS RDC support will be phased out over time since it’s not stable and MsRdpEx from Devolutions (AFAIK) will also phase out/drop MS RDC support.
