Auto fill config is removed when document is saved to Royal Server

Hi,

When I use the new Auto fill config (v7.3), the config is removed when I save the document.

  • I use 1Password credentials (via Dynamic Folder)
  • It is working when I only have hardcoded values and no credential set
  • The old way via properties is working and not removed on saving
  • It is working (with opening and closing the website) until I save the document

Does anybody have an idea? I have this problem since many versions and it I still get it in the newest beta versions.

Thanks for reporting this. Credentials provided by a Dynamic Folder are dynamic objects and therefore cannot be changed. We’ll adjust Royal TS so that, in this case, the Auto Fill configuration is saved with the web page connection instead. This will ensure that the configuration is retained when the document is saved.

As a workaround, you can “disconnect” your credential in the web page connection to force Royal TS to store the Auto Fill configuration in the connection object and then assign the credential again.

The next release will have this fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
