Small improvements to navigation/dashboard with big impact

I’m trying to sell RoyalTS as a replacement for Devolution’s RDM internally. Two of the three bigger issues should be very simple from a development point of view.

  1. Allow adding columns in the navigation view. We have 1000+ servers and like to see more than just the computer name when doing a search. If I search for “Exchange“, I get 20 servers. being able to see e.g. description and IP (which is in CustomField1 by the way, as the FQDN is used for the URI) is very helpful. The Dashboard can do this, but having to click away from the navigation pain (and thereby also losing focus from you current RDP) is rather annoying.

  2. We use colours for certain device states (e.g. locked, disabled, trashed, …). The navigation pane shows the colours, but suprisingly the dashboard ignores them. I wonder if that’s not an actualy bug.

Hi and thanks for the feedback. It would be very helpful if you can create an additional entry for the 2nd feature request and rename that one to clearly indicate that it’s about another column in the navigation tree. This would help us better track feature requests.

I’m not sure if the second one is an actual future request or rather a bug fix. That doesn’t look look like wanted behaviour to m.
