Hi there,
as my provider is increasing the costs for IPv4 I move all my SSH and OS stuff to IPv6. When I try to connect to an IPv6 host via the putty terminal plugin I get the error “Unable to open connection to … Host does not exist”. IPv6 SSH works when using rebex plugin though, but I need SSH tunneling as I won’t expose all stuff to the external world and this is only supported via putty plugin or with Royal Server which I haven’t (right now at least).
-
I tried putty standalone and it works (tested with version 0.75)
-
I also tried to define my putty executable in the settings of the putty terminal plugin but it also does not work. My guess is a check before the connection is really opened.
-
tried by defining the IP directly and by using AAAA dns entry. Both working with rebex
-
non standard SSH port (but the alternate port is defined
)
Kind regards,
Stefan
