Bulk Edit items through sub folders

I imported a RDCM list of thousands of machines and hundreds of sub folders. I can bulk edit the top levels of items, but it doesn’t apply to the sub items. How do I force a bulk edit to propagate down throughout the child objects?

For example all items are set to “Do not specify username & password” and I am trying to change it to “Use credentials from parent folder” but I am having to do a bulk edit from within every folder instead of at the top level.

the folder dashboard can be used to show objects from all subfolders as well and allows you to sort, group, filter objects:
